A Trio of Day Trips from Madrid

hree easy day trips beckoning from Madrid to nearby cities of Segovia,
Avila, and Toledo. While Toledo, for us, ranks highest in historical
interest and significance, the other two destinations are well worth
visiting. There are tours that stop in all three in one day, but we
divided them up, visiting Toledo on one day and Avila/Segovia on
another. We’re glad we did. We had time in all three to discover mag-
nificent churches, historic architecture and fascinating stories in
T each, adding to our knowledge of Spanish history and lore.
