Find a work of art that interests or intrigues you, but
don’t look at the label yet!

Consider the following questions:

Describe the work of art in detail. Consider the colors
and material used.

Look at the composition. How do the figures or
shapes in the artwork relate to each other?

Does the artwork convey a feeling or mood?

Does it tell a story or communicate a message?

Now. Look at the label. Does it reveal anything more
about the work of art?

Reflect on your discoveries. How do you feel about
the artwork?
