Bing Crosby Party, Breeders’ Cup Opening Day After-Party, a Hat Pop-Up and Post Party Spa Treatments

DEL MAR, Calif. – L’Auberge Del Mar, A Destination Hotel, is the place to be for staying in style and luxury near the Del Mar Racetrack before and during this year’s 33rd annual Breeders’ Cup – the defining event of the international horse racing season with a purse of up to $6 million, held on November 3 and 4.

L’Auberge Del Mar is celebrating big since this is the first time the Cup races are being held at the iconic Del Mar Thoroughbred Club “where the turf meets the surf.”

L’Auberge Del Mar’s Bing Crosby Party celebrates Opening Day of Del Mar’s fall race meet on Wednesday, November 1, with live music and special features to welcome the Breeders’ Cup. On Thursday, November 2, L’Auberge Del Mar’s Del Mar Traditions offers specialty drinks, a food pop-up and betting tips from resident handicappers. The culminating event is fun-filled L’Auberge Del Mar’s Breeders’ Cup Opening Day After-Party on Friday, November 3. All activities are open to resort guests and the public at no charge; food and drinks are not included.

Returning is famous hat fabricator Christine A. Moore Millinery to create a Hat Pop-Up in the Living Room from November 1 to 3. Moore has adorned stylish race goers and celebrities for more than 20 years and is named “the official hat designer of America’s Best Racing,” a multimedia fan development and awareness-building platform of The Jockey Club.

In addition, this year’s winning signature “Off to the Races” cocktail is created with Hudson Bourbon Whiskey, ginger beer, honey and Memphis Barbeque Bitters – all making it delicious to the finish and to be enjoyed at Breeders’ Cup events and in the Living Room, Bleu Bar, Coastline and KITCHEN 1540.

To complete the festivities, Spa L’Auberge invites all to relax, hydrate and detox with an Ocean Detox or High Tide Hydration treatment – a perfect way to finish the weekend.
